Kidnappers Of Greenfield University Student, Threaten To Kill Other Abducted Student In Their Custody

It’s no news of the recent happenings in Nigeria ,one of which is the abduction of student of Greenfield university in Kaduna-Abuja highway who were abducted on the 20th of April 2021.

Few days later, Five of the abducted student were killed by the bandits . The news has taken a new turn as the bandits are demanding for a ransom with a stipulated date for payment else they kill the remaining student in their custody

The bandits’ leader, Sani Jalingo, who spoke to the Hausa Service of the Voice of America, demanded a ransom of N100 million and ten motorcycles.
Failure by the Kaduna State Government or the students’ family to meet the demands by Tuesday, Jalingo warned that the remaining students in their custody would be killed.

He insisted that if the money (N100m) and the items (motorcycles) demanded were not provided on Tuesday, trucks would be used to evacuate the lifeless bodies of the remaining students. He said 17 of the abducted students, including 15 females and two males are in their custody.

The bandits leader Sani Jalingo disclosed that the families of the remaining students had so far paid N55 million to them. Sequel the kidnap of the students and a staff of the school, the bandits had made contact with the parents and demanded N800 million ransom for the release of the students.

But five of them were later killed as a result of failure to meet the demand. Nigerians have expressed their concerns over the increased rate of abduction and killing in the country and has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to do something that will put an end to insecurity in the country.
