Liverpool Revives Champions League Qualification


A big win for Liverpool at Turf Moor puts them closer to qualifying for the next season’s Champions League. This season looks like Liverpool will miss out on the champions league after a defeat to Fulham in March which leaves them eight on the table.

A late turnaround now puts them in 4th place above Leicester city. Liverpool head into the final weekend of the season fourth on goal difference and in control of their Champions League destiny.

3-0 away win against Burnley lifts their hopes of qualification. Liverpool opened the scoring in the 43rd minutes when Andrew Robertson tees up Roberto Firmino inside the box and he keeps his cool to find the bottom right corner to take the lead at halftime.

A good start to the second half sees a perfect lofted pass from Sadio Mane finds Nathanial Philips, who jumps highest and steers a close-range header straight into the top right corner. His effort was both strong and precise and will Norris had no chance of stopping that and makes it 2-0
