Meghan Markle Set To Develop Animated Netfix Series

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Archewell Productions are executive producing a new animated series called ‘Pearl,’ which is now in development with Netflix.

The series follows the exploits of a 12-year-old girl who is inspired by a range of historical figures

According to Number, the animated series will follow the exploits of a 12-year-old girl who is inspired by a variety of famous women throughout history. It will be co-executive produced by David Furnish. The series’ showrunner, Amanda Rynda, has been revealed.

Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges,” Markle said in a statement confirming the new production.

“I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix, and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history. David Furnish and I have been eager to bring this special series to light, and I am delighted we are able to announce it today.”

Pearl’ will be the first animated series produced by Archewell Productions as part of a multimillion-dollar partnership with Netflix to develop documentaries, feature films, scripted television shows, and children’s shows.

‘Heart of Invictus,’ a film co-produced by Harry and Markle, is also in the works., a documentary series following the Prince Harry founded sports competition that spotlights service members who experienced life-changing injuries.
