Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information and Culture,has expressed his shock and condolences to the family of soundsultan .
He said in a statement that he was shocked and saddened by the untimely demise of the popular singer, rapper and songwriter.
Mr Segun Adeyemi, the Special Assistant to the President (Media) in the Minister’s Office, signed the statement and made it accessible to journalists.
The minister extended his sympathies to the fallen Artiste’s family, friends, and admirers, according to the statement.
“a great loss not just to his family and the Creative Industry, but to Nigeria as a whole’’.
“Our prayers and thoughts are with his wife, children and indeed his entire family at this time.
“May God comfort and strengthen them. May He also grant repose to the soul of the departed,’’ Mohammed said.
The 44-year-old ‘Jagbajantis’ crooner died on July 11 following a battle with cancer.
According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN) Dr Kayode Fasasi, on behalf of the Fasasi family, released a statement announcing his death.
