Governor Abubakar Bagudu of Kebbi State has said “that his government paid more than N300 million as compensation to property owners for the construction of roads in Jega Town.
The governor made the declaration while inspecting the construction of five kilometres of township roads in Jega where he trekked for over three kilometres amid applause by residents.”
Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Yahaya Sarki, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria in a statement issued in Birnin Kebbi, yesterday.
Bagudu assured “the residents that government would give a premium to people-oriented projects that impact on the social and economic wellbeing of the people.”
“The governor addressed the residents in the company of the Chairman, Jega Local Council, Shehu Marshal, and the Majority Leader, Kebbi State House of Assembly, Faruk Nasarawa.”
